People First HR Consulting was founded by Dayna White, a proud Taungurung woman with an extensive career in HR. Dayna dismisses the typical perceptions of the profession - going beyond the conventional "hire and fire" stereotype and believes that HR's real value lies in the ability to elevate an organisation through cultivating the potential of the humans that make it up.

 

Dayna has worn many hats during her career, spanning more than 20 years. She's not just an HR pro; she's a strategic and operational guru who's worked in public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. From government to sports and retail to education, she’s done it, shaking up HR by making it more human-centred in collaboration with like-minded businesses.

Dayna's appetite for growth has led her to explore a diverse range of personal and professional development opportunities. In 2023 she was a participant of the McKinsey Executive Leaders Program an invitation-only program convening senior executives from the world’s leading organisations.

In her personal life, Dayna is led by curiousity, always seeking out new ideas, places, and people. She's dived into Neuro-Linguistic Programming, trained in Hypnotherapy, taken on yoga teacher training, and even embarked on a life-changing ten-day silent meditation retreat in the peaceful hills of India. These experiences have shaped her unique style and down-to-earth approach when partnering with individuals and organisations.
